Photofacials
Photofacials at Vein and Laser of Fredericksburg utilize Advanced Fluorescence Technology or AFT. AFT is a breakthrough in pulsed light-based technology that converts unused UV light into the optimal spectrum for a range of treatment applications. AFT utilizes a two-step filtering technology to deliver this optimal light spectrum. This advanced technology enables AFT to effectively utilize lower energy levels, resulting in visible clinical improvement in skin while protecting the overlying epidermis.
We offer photofacials at two different wavelengths and our doctor will determine which wavelength is best for your skin type. These wavelengths target pigmented and vascular lesions, thus alleviating sun or age spots as well as ridding the skin of visible veins and improving skin texture and tone.
The procedure itself is performed under spa-like conditions with gentle technique. The face is cooled with a gel and we offer the Zimmer cooler to provide further comfort and to protect the skin from excess heat. A single treatment can take less than 15 minutes. If the photofacial is combined with the skin tightening (ST) wand, treatment can take over 30 minutes.

Skin Tightening
The Alma Harmony Laser has introduced a skin tightening handpiece to its light therapy armamentarium and we are pleased to provide this service to you. The ST handpiece utilizes a wavelength that targets the water in the dermis. This heats the dermal collegen leading to a subtle immediate tightening and a more pronounced long term remodeling of the collegen extending into the following six months. Skin tightening is only sold in packages as multiple treatments are necessary to obtain the desired results.
There is no pain with the treatment and immediate return to normal activities is possible.
The best results from light based rejuvenation therapy are achieved with combination therapy. Typically a photofacial treatment package is combined with the skin tightening package (discounts apply).
